Forever Swing - Swing's Back!
Chris Weeks

Chris Weeks has been acting professionally for 3 years, finding success in Musical Theatre, having performed as part of a production cast for P&O and touring on the island of Cyprus. During these jobs, he was lucky enough to be able to indulge himself in his passion for Jazz by singing and playing to the audience as often as he could!

Chris owes a lot of his Jazz career to Patrick Gazard, who gave him his first opportunity to sing with the Sir William Borlase Performing Arts School Jazz Band, despite there being people much better qualified for the job! As that proved to be a great success, Patrick invited Chris to sing with the Big Band at High Wycombe Music Centre, culminating with a performance in one of the largest professional venues in the area, the Wycombe Swan. Since, Patrick has sent Chris to London to sing with the renowned National Youth Jazz Orchestra, widely considered to be one of the best Big Bands in the world (and voted the best in the U.K. in 2005)!

Chris started performing simply as a straight actor, acting in such roles as John Proctor in Miller's 'The Crucible', before finding he had some semblance of a singing voice in Howard Goodall's 'The Hired Man'. He then went on to play leading roles in shows such as 'Oliver!', 'On the Town', 'Annie Get Your Gun', Javert in 'Les Miserables', 'The Beggar's Opera', 'My Fair Lady', 'Kiss me, Kate', an award-winning production of 'Force 9.5' and 'Guys and Dolls'.
